ThingLink

My ThingLink maps out points of interest surrounding the Quad, the central space at The University of Alabama. It also recounts interesting UA folklore, such as ghost stories and how certain places came to be named. I chose to do my ThingLink on this because I have always been fascinated by all of the interesting history of various UA landmarks - especially the ghost stories - and I thought it would be a fun way for me to learn more about campus history.

Social Media Video

A short video for social media on protests on The University of Alabama campus in response to Alabama's consideration of a "divisive concepts" bill. I chose to cover this because I felt it was an ideal candidate for a social media video, with as there were many visual aspects to it that would be lost in a traditional article. I spoke with multiple protesters, in addition to reading the text of the bill.

Infographic

The timeline was created using my own reporting for an investigation (read here) and previous reporting by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. This infographic illustrates the timeline of Bradley Blackshire's death to the effective formation of the Little Rock Citizen's Review Board. I chose to do my infographic on this timeline because at the time, I was in the final stages of my investigation into the LRCRB, so I used this as an opportunity to begin drafting the copy for a similar timeline that ended up being published with the story.
